Rhythm and Movement Class
Often, I am asked what is Movement Class? Is it PE? Is it ballet? What do you mean integrated?
Students enjoy the benefits of rhythm and movement, by integrating core curriculum into the classroom. Each rhythm and movement lesson teaches various movement concepts including body, energy, space, movement, and time. As well as, history, genres, artists, choreography, self-assurance, team building, and body awareness. Students participate in activities that allow them to experience their lessons, while learning how movement concepts relate to math, language arts, history, social studies, and science. Integrating movement and rhythm into class curriculum provides a fun and inviting atmosphere to learn core subjects, while being active and healthy.
